I moved to Boerne from San Antonio after going over great school districts for my newborn. Five years later and after sending him to an excellent private preschool in Boerne, I enrolled him in kindergarten at Fabra. I heard all the wonderful stories but in my experience this school is terrible. Only three weeks I had to pull him and reinstate him in private school. It seems Fabra looks good on paper but once your child is there its a diferent ballgame. They need smaller classes, more higher quality teachers and prepare kindergarten parents about the way they teach before enrollment.

My son has been attending Fabra for almost two years. As the mother of a special needs child, I have more request than your average parent. Jocelyn Dudney and the teachers at Fabra have done an excellent job at rising to the occasion and educating my child. Not only by helping him in areas he struggles, but also by challenging him in areas he excels. The PTO is fabulous and I could not ask for a better staff. I highly recommend this school.

I was terribly disappointed in this school. We moved to Boerne specifically for the "great schools". We moved during the Christmas break to Boerne from another Texas town. My kids were a full year ahead of the current curriculum. I spoke the their teachers and the principal and was told they would try to do something about it but nothing was ever done. I have withdrawn both my children and put then in a private school. One of my children had to be tutored in math before she could be accepted to the private school because she had actually fallen behind in math. Overall, the school was a HUGE disappointment.

Fabra has been a wonderful school. My child has attended for two years. She is a bright child and boredom was a concern. However Fabra recognizes the children's needs and challenges all kids to reach for higher goals. Parent involvement is a necessity. The parents in turn challange the school to reach higher goals. Teaching the kids at Fabra is a great community effort. We will be moving away from Fabra for a few years but look forward to getting back to the area and to the schools, teachers and friends.

I believe Fabra is the best school in this entire area. The Principal, Susan Light, is the most caring, intelligent, and fun person I know. Yes, I did say fun, she believes that everyone from the teachers, cafteria staff, and custodians should have fun and work as one unit. The front office staff knows all of the children by first name and can tell you who their sibblings are and where their parents are during the day. The cafteria goal seems to be make healthy but child friendly food. The kitchen is always open to any parent, child or staff member. Our teachers believe that the school day should be fun and educational at the same time. Neat concept uh? The staff is always coming up with extra activities for the students. I am very pleased with the school.
